How my journey began
Hello I’m Stephanie! I’m happy you’re here. If you made it this far, you probably want to know a little more about my experience.
I have a BS in Kinesiology from the University of New Orleans. I have been teaching Pilates since 2003, and I am a pilates teacher trainer through Physicalmind Institute. In 2019 I sold a thriving pilates studio in Southlake, TX to focus full-time on my 12 Weeks to Back Pain Freedom course. Due to my own lifelong struggle with back and neck pain, I’m passionate about helping others become fit and healthy in ways they never thought possible.
In the 2000’s I served as co-owner and rehab director of Integrated Spine and Disc in Mandeville, LA. Here I practiced x-ray analysis and exercise programming for chiropractic patients. I studied under talented doctors who believe in “corrective care” versus passive pain relief; this greatly influences my teaching today. I believe that anyone can achieve a higher state of wellness when given the right tools.
In 2013 I began to study under famed osteopath and MD, Dr. GUY Voyer, DO. His revolutionary technique, the ELDOA Method, allowed me to work very specifically with injured or affected areas of the spine. I am a certified level 4 ELDOA Practitioner, one of only about 100 worldwide. I utilize the ELDOA to provide exercise programming for those with disc injury, scoliosis, and more.
Throughout the years, the exercise I return to over and over again is Pilates. Pilates is a complete system of exercise that challenges the body and mind. Everyone should have Pilates instruction before starting any sport or workout to improve athletic performance and help prevent injuries. Pilates is widely recognized for improving posture, joint flexibility, and core strength. It is the basis of everything that I teach.
